Here’s my understanding … what we are trying to accomplish with digital marketing is to be discovered somewhere on the web. Sound good so far?
So how does digital marketing accomplish that objective? We are trying to get the search engines and social media to feature us in some way, so we appear prominently. So the better we can convince search engines and social media platforms that our content is worthy and relevant, the better our chance of being found.
The most important signals are engagement metrics. How many people viewed your content? How long did they spend on your content? How many people came to your content and bounced right off of it?
The best way to make this happen is to create content that is valuable for your specific audience. Junk content or copied content or spun content will not get it done. If you don’t like to write, you’re going to have to spend the money to get your content created for you. Most content providers will do it over until you accept it, so make sure you only use those content vendors.
